Our Caps
Milano offers four types of wig caps: the “open” wefted cap, the “closed” wefted (HM) cap, Milano’s exclusive Freedom cap (patent pending), and the iFront.
Open Wefted
The open wefted cap has a natural skin top that resembles a scalp. From the crown to the nape, there are many wefts (rows of hair) sewn horizontally across from ear to ear. The area between each weft is open so the cap does not feel as tight on the head. When pinning a wig up, the open wefts allow the pins to go through the cap and be fastened to the hair growing from the head, which assures a firmed hold. The open wefts also allow more ventilation to the scalp. The SL1, SL2, and Ponytail styles are not available in the open wefted cap.
Closed Wefted (HM)
The closed wefted HM cap has a natural skin top that resembles a scalp. From the crown to the nape, there is a single piece of stretch material with wefts sewn horizontally across from ear to ear. This cap has a snugger fit and because the single piece of material is completely closed to the head, it prevents hair from the head from coming through.
Freedom Cap (Patent Pending)
Milano offers a Freedom design in both the open and closed wefted cap. The Freedom cap uses a unique fiber and is constructed with a patent pending design that allows a wig to be worn without clips or combs, yet remains firmly on the head.
iFront
The iFront has a seamless invisible hairline for the most natural look. The hairline is sewn into a mesh, lace-like material to create the illusion of hair coming directly out of the wearers own scalp. This type of cap is great to wear in an elegant style with the hair all going back, but can also be worn as an everyday look with bangs just as you’d wear a standard wig cap.
**NOTE: FREEDOM & iFRONT CAPS CAN NOT BE COMBINED

Our Hair
Milano Collection manufactures wigs with two distinct types of premium quality hair: virgin European hair and premium processed hair.
Virgin European Hair
Milano scours the globe to find the finest virgin European hair available. Virgin hair means that it has not been dyed or processed in any way. Virgin European hair is the most desirable hair in the world due to its texture, feel, look, and longevity. As a result of the hair’s “virgin” status, it can be highlighted and dyed very easily just as one would dye or highlight hair on a head. While all hair will fade/oxidize slightly over time, the color in virgin hair will last significantly longer than hair that has been processed. Like all natural hair, virgin hair should be washed and styled on a frequent basis depending on usage. The following Milano styles are available exclusively with virgin European hair: Bandfall, Hatfall, LL10, LL12, LL14, LL16, R2, SL1, SL2, SL8, and S31.
Premium Processed Hair
Premium processed hair is quality human hair that has been dyed to achieve the desired color. Because it is not the original hair color it may fade quicker, but is more readily available in a wide selection of colors. Processed hair tends to be straight, but it will hold a curl very nicely when styled. The following Milano styles are available in premium processed hair only: Gisele, Ponytail, Reese, and Victoria.
